With the RS and RK series of card readers, you
can select from a variety of track read configurations. With bi-directional read
capability, and a wide range of swiping speeds, these low cost devices allow each end user
to select their own orientation for optimum operation. A red/green LED combines with an
audible alarm provide easy to understand device status. Both high and low coercivity media
is supported. Serial connection (RS Models) is supported with device drivers for DOS, Windows 95 and Windows NT. A 1.8-meter cable includes powering from the keyboard port. As an alternative, a keyboard wedge option (RK Models) is also available, with input processed as keyboard data. Where needed, an external power adapter can be used with the RS series.
